The Business Case for AI: A Leader's Guide to AI Strategies, Best Practices & Real-World Applications: Directly applicable expert advise What I like the most about this book is that it is not a technical treatment of AI or machine learning as others in this genre, but rather a very practical guide on how to use them in your business. This doesn't mean that this book offers a watered down version of the topic (Kavita does not shy away from jargon or explaining technical concepts), but it just keeps in mind what the audience (business people) cares about the most: learning how to guarantee that your AI or ML project does actually create value and is completed successfully. It's packed full of great example applications, and the style is easy to follow and down-to-earth. A great read overall. Here is the table of contents:Part 1 - Frame your AI thinking Ch. 1. The Business Case for AI: A Leader's Guide to AI Strategies, Best Practices & Real-World Applications: A fascinating view into the world of AI This is a well written book which will be useful to businesses and students. It is nice to see a publication on AI that starts with the basics and does not delve immediately into rhetoric. Dr. Ganesan's approach to where AI would be most useful is eye-opening. As for when it makes sense for a business to embark on the path of AI, she does a thorough cost-benefit analysis to facilitate the decision-making process. It is also refreshing to see that she does not recommend setting up a whole AI division right away, but takes a step by step approach clarifying when to buy a solution off the shelf and when to go all in. It is evident that a lot of reflection and expertise has been condensed into this publication. A must-read even if you simply want to learn about the field.

The Business Case for AI: A Leader's Guide to AI Strategies, Best Practices & Real-World Applications: Exactly the practical AI guide I was looking for As an entrepreneur, I'm trying to figure out AI...attending conferences, reading and so on. As Kavita indicates in the intro, the world is divided between pie-in-the-sky promises and science/tech of AI. The book is systematic from framing to idea generation and taking next steps. It's the guide book I've been waiting to read.

The Business Case for AI: A Leader's Guide to AI Strategies, Best Practices & Real-World Applications: Comprehensive and practical guide for any organization/leader looking to build AI products Love love Kavita and all her blogs. There is so much value and insight I gained while building an AI product from the ground up. I felt the same while going through this book.Very well written, clear and concise. It's very well thought and helps you bring clarity on when to use AI, how to use and guides - engineers, data scientists, product managers and leaders to come to a common platform to identify the best course of building AI products. This is some powerful information which is not easily available or discussed across. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to build AI products.

The Business Case for AI: A Leader's Guide to AI Strategies, Best Practices & Real-World Applications: Not just tech but also business decision maker Love the book! It's really easy to follow. We are constantly struggle with the question of whether to brand our companies as AI driven, how to get there or even with the most fundamental question of whether we should use AI for our business given our current company stage. This book provides really good framework in thinking about those issues. While the business decision makers dont need to know the AI details, they need to understand the impact of AI on their companies, on their recruitment efforts, or even on their infrastructure investment and the author outlines how to think about all these problem strategically.

The Business Case for AI: A Leader's Guide to AI Strategies, Best Practices & Real-World Applications: Best step-by-step guideline for AI contemplators. I was fortunate to review this book pre-release. Just a great book for people in the AI execution world. I have read few other AI books in the past. Some are sci-fi fantasy and some others paint a gloomy picture. But this book at best is a step-by-step guideline to execute an AI project. It helps you evaluate if you are AI-ready as an organization, find and fill gaps to be AI-ready and provides a timeline to expect ROAI. The worst thing to do in the current AI world is to start a project when not ready, expect returns too early, have no long-term strategy and entering a project without a starting point and exiting without a plan B.Dr.Ganesan's book can hand-hold through the execution timeline, identify and address issues early. Overall a great read not just the leaders. I wish I was able to have this knowledge two years back to make some informed decisions.

The Business Case for AI: A Leader's Guide to AI Strategies, Best Practices & Real-World Applications: Thoughtful, experienced guidelines for defining AI in modern business with framework for approach This book does what I wish more did: It immediately begins in a conversational tone to encourage a moment to pause and think about the current hype that we may ingest on topics around AI. Far too many writings explain AI and machine learning as a "magic bullet" which can solve any problem -- all with a small or nonexistent budget. Dr. Ganeson dispels these myths with a balance of experience from industry to academia. For example, Chapter 2 concretely defines the difference between general and narrow intelligence in a way that is useful for anyone considering developing advanced capability in their enterprise. If I could wave a magic wand, immediately all executives in the world would see that a pamphlet based on Chapter 4 (Myths) would appear in their pocket so that more time could be spent on problem definition and what is truly possible rather than chasing miracles which are destined to fail.Throughout this book are excellent figures which illustrate the concepts being covered. Written in direct and concise language, most arguments are direct and applicable such as the warnings about the pitfaill of "AI for AI's sake". Finally, besides proper definitions and realistic expectations, the latter portions of this book provide an actionable framework for discovering and then implementing AI solutions. After all, if I could paraphrase Dr. Ganeson, too many organizations dive head first into developing solutions without forethought and planning about the goals, metrics and promise. Such efforts are likely destined to fail without adequate planning while the latter portions of this book provide a framework to prevent such failures.
